System Engineer

who will lead the technical side of complex engineering projects.

The Role As a

System Engineer , you are responsible for the

technical leadership of complex engineering projects . These projects can involve developing complete sensing solutions for customers or internal engineering initiatives that contribute directly to the company’s technology roadmap. You ensure that all technical disciplines come together into a

fully functioning system , providing structure and direction throughout the development process. Working closely with internal teams, partners and customers, you guide the design and realization of advanced photonic sensing systems.

Key Responsibilities As a System Engineer, you will:• Lead the

technical design and realization of complex photonic sensing systems.• Drive engineering projects that deliver

complete measurement solutions for customers or internal technology development.• Coordinate and connect expertise across

optical, mechanical, electronic and software disciplines.• Provide

clarity and structure in system definition and architecture.• Align technical design choices and trade-offs across multiple engineering domains. • Ensure

requirements traceability and system compliance throughout the development lifecycle.• Identify and manage

technical risks during system development.• Support the successful realization of solutions from concept to implementation.

You bring: A

University (WO) or University of Applied Sciences (HBO) degree , preferably in Physics, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Informatics At least

5 years of experience

as a

System Engineer, Systems Architect or Lead Development Engineer Experience developing

complex technical systems involving multiple disciplines

such as electronics, mechanics, optics and/or software A strong ability to

connect technologies and translate concepts into working solutions Excellent communication skills and the ability to

bring teams and expertise together Experience working within a

professional quality management environment Nice to have: Experience with the

development or outsourcing of hardware components Experience with

dedicated electronics or PCBAs You live in the

Netherlands

and are able to work from the

Alkmaar region .
