Tactical / Strategic Buyer– Indirect Categories

About The Role As a Tactical / Strategic Buyer for Indirect Materials&Services, you will shape how our organization sources the goods and services that keep our operations running smoothly. You take ownership of selected indirect spend categories—such as MRO, facility services, office supplies, technical services, or external contractors—and drive both daily procurement activities and longer‑term sourcing strategies. You balance operational execution with strategic development: ensuring continuity of supply, optimizing cost and performance, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement across the procurement function.

What You Will Bring To The Role

Strong procurement expertise across indirect categories such as MRO, facility services, office supplies, technical services, or external contractors.

Experience in end‑to‑end procurement, including sourcing, RFQs, contract negotiation, supplier selection, and operational order management.

Proven negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and long‑term value for the business.

Ability to translate business needs into sourcing strategies, category plans, and supplier performance improvements.

Supplier management experience, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and fostering collaborative partnerships.

ERP proficiency, ideally with SAP S4 or Ariba, and a strong understanding of data accuracy and procurement compliance.

Analytical mindset to evaluate spend, identify savings opportunities, and support decision‑making with clear insights.

Proactive problem‑solving to address supply risks, delivery challenges, or specification gaps before they impact operations.

Stakeholder management skills, enabling you to partner effectively with internal teams such as finance, facility management, engineering, and operations.

Continuous improvement orientation, contributing to process optimization, standardization, and procurement best practices.

Relevant experience, typically 3–7 years in procurement, category management, supply chain, or a related field.

Educational background in supply chain, business administration, engineering, or comparable discipline.
