Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop instrument control software for floor‑standing X‑ray diffraction (XRD) products used in scientific and industrial materials analysis. The role involves contributing to the architecture, design, coding, and automated testing of firmware, collaborating with embedded, system, mechanical, and electronics engineers, and ensuring software robustness, accuracy, and maintainability.Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement firmware for new XRD floor‑standing products. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create new features and test software functionality. Write and maintain automated test cases and assist in test automation. Ensure software design aligns with safety, performance, usability, robustness, and speed requirements.Stay current with emerging software technologies and share insights with the team. Support product troubleshooting related to software and system engineering issues. Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills applied to complex product and system challenges. Experience with Agile development processes, real‑time embedded software, and test methodologies. Proficiency in ANSI C and familiarity with C# (preferred). Knowledge of software principles such as Clean Code and SOLID.Fluency in English; willingness to learn Dutch. Background in Computer Science (BSc) and experience with technical automation is desirable. Passion for high‑tech, customer‑focused product development. Equal Employment Opportunity
