Electrical Engineer, Almelo

Overview

The Malvern Panalytical Process and Automation Solutions team is looking for a senior electrical engineer to support the design and development of electrical equipment and control boxes for automation projects in industrial laboratories. The role involves working from conceptualisation through design, build, install and final commissioning, collaborating closely with end users to implement solutions that meet customer needs. Responsibilities include speed optimisation, robustness and usability. Significant travel to customers worldwide for meetings and installations is required.Responsibilities

Design, develop, assemble and install electrical circuits and control boxes for automation systems. Document and archive electronics-related aspects of customer-specific installations. Interpret existing designs and ensure critical quality and functional elements are met. Diagnose and resolve electrical engineering issues in collaboration with other technical specialists.Conduct experiments to validate instrument performance. Participate in project architectural discussions and appreciate overall system design. Provide support to local service teams to maintain and support installations at customer sites. Skills / Competences

Electronic design of large systems for sample preparation and analysis. Design of interfaces for control and automation of third‑party equipment. Creation of documentation for installation, usage and maintenance. Fluent in English and Dutch or willing to learn; basic understanding of French and German is a plus.International travel to customer or supplier sites (approx. 15%). Education and Working Experience

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering. 7‑10 years of relevant experience in technical automation or equivalent environment. Experience with E‑Plan software for electrotechnical design. Knowledge of relevant regulations (CE, Machine Directives). EEO Statement
