We are looking for a Trade Control Analyst to join our team in Utrecht, the Netherlands. This role supports trade control, accounting, and financial analysis within a global trading environment. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong financial modelling skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, multicultural setting. A team player who thrives under pressure and adapts well to change will succeed in this role.Key Responsibilities Assist in recording and reconciling trades, positions, and profit/loss to ensure accuracy Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for internal stakeholders Monitor and report foreign exchange exposure and market risk Assist in validating and reviewing trade-related financial statementsPost journal entries related to trade transactions, accruals, and adjustments Review general ledger accounts and ensure proper classification of trade-related transactions Perform balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts, including receivables, payables, and inventory Investigate and resolve discrepancies between trade systems and accounting recordsSupport month-end and year-end closing processes for accurate financial reporting Assist in internal and external audits by providing trade and financial data as required Analyse trading performance trends, including revenue, costs, and profit margins Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgets and forecastsAssist in the preparation of budget forecasts and support financial planning activities Support the development of financial models to assess trading risks and opportunities Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making by traders and management Requirements Bachelor's degree level in accounting or finance fields5+ years of relevant professional experience Experience with Microsoft office Fluent in English, both written and spoken Experience in a global trading, commodities, or financial services business is a plus We Offer An entrepreneurial and international environment where developing opportunities for growth is valuedA competitive compensation plan with pension contribution by the employer Flexibility on working hours Local and global training&development opportunities Company outings, Christmas dinner, and this year we held our first well-being month, filled with many helpful yet fun activities, because we care about our employees’ well-being and their social connection!
