We provide ongoing service and maintenance during the operationallife of the vessel.Communications Specialist Due to the growth of our operations, we are recruiting a GSM/Comms specialist who wants to work on cutting-edge projects. You will be designing and supporting high-end communication for the owners of super yachts worldwide. The solutions you design are used in some of the largest super yachts in the world. We work with high-demanding clients who have high expectations. This function is based at our office in Amsterdam, and you will also be traveling occasionally to the shipyards.What will you do? Pre-engineering/sales of GSM (passive, hybrid&active), UHF, TVRO, SATCOM, WiFi systems for vessels Creating low and high-level network design solutions of GSM (passive, hybrid&active), UHF, TVRO, SATCOM Analyzing and writing technical reports and drafting technical specifications Commissioning and integration of the GSM/Comms systems onboard the vessels Testing of cables, frequency, and technologies Responsible for maintaining the right quality by controlling the installed installations on the vesselsTroubleshooting, quickly and efficiently resolving any technical issues Working on the optimization of the radio frequency Developing elegant, robust, and cost-effective networks that meet and exceed the client’s requirements Building relationships, both internally and externally Providing training on the job to owners/crewContinuously working on improvements and new ideas in a technical fast-paced environment. What to bring? A degree in either IT, Telematics, or Electronics Minimum of 10 years of Telecommunication Experience in GSM, UHF, TVRO, SATCOM, WiFi, and Radio Optimization Experience in installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting both remote and localIBWave certified (indoor) planning/design/prediction (a big plus) Knowledge of installing cables, frequency, and technologies Ability to analyze technical requirements, system architectures, policies, standards, and emerging technologies, and create technical specifications Experience in supporting other departments like Sales Engineering on pre-salesA hands-on approach An analytical mindset Fluency in English is a must A thorough understanding of A/V systems is preferred Willingness to travel, accuracy, hard work Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and a non-9 to 5 mentality Driver’s license A drive for delivering high-quality solutions and the willingness to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectationsWhat do we offer?
