Senior Credit Risk Framework Manager Amsterdam | 36 Hours | 3-Month Assignment
About the Assignment We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Credit Risk professional to support a key regulatory-driven transformation programme within the Credit Risk Control domain. The assignment focuses on accelerating the redesign and implementation of the Credit Risk Operational Control Framework (OCF) across the bank’s Credit Risk value chain. This includes translating regulatory and governance requirements into a robust and practical control framework that can be consistently applied across business domains.
This role requires a rare combination of: Deep Credit Risk expertise within banking Hands-on experience designing and implementing control frameworks Strong stakeholder management capabilities The ability to operate independently in complex programme environments
The successful candidate must be able to make an immediate impact and operate as a senior partner within the programme team.
Key Responsibilities Design and further develop the Credit Risk Operational Control Framework (OCF) Define and implement reference controls across the Credit Risk value chain Translate regulatory expectations and governance requirements into practical and scalable controls Identify control gaps and drive remediation activitiesChallenge and enhance existing Credit Risk governance structures and processes Work closely with senior stakeholders, SPOCs, Risk teams, and business domains Coordinate review, challenge, and approval cycles of framework deliverables Ensure alignment with ECB/EBA expectations and internal methodologiesSupport rollout, implementation, and stakeholder adoption activities Contribute to communication and training materials related to the framework implementation
Candidate Profile We are specifically looking for a senior professional who combines strong Credit Risk expertise with demonstrable experience in designing and implementing control frameworks within banking environments.
Required Experience Extensive experience within Credit Risk in banking or financial services Proven track record designing and implementing control frameworks, governance frameworks, or risk frameworks Experience with regulatory remediation programmes and ECB/EBA-driven initiatives Strong understanding of the Credit Risk lifecycle and associated governance processesExperience operating in complex stakeholder environments with senior-level interaction Ability to independently drive initiatives and operate in a“plug-and-play” capacity
Preferred Background Experience within large international banks or consulting firms Background in Risk Governance, Credit Risk Transformation, Internal Controls, or Regulatory Programmes Familiarity with: OCF / RCSA methodologies Risk&Control frameworks Credit policies and governance structures Regulatory compliance and remediation processes
Skills&Competencies Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to structure complex topics into practical solutions Strong governance and documentation skills Project and programme delivery mindset
