SAP FICO Consultant, Amsterdam

We are on the lookout for a seasoned SAP FICO Consultant to play a pivotal role in our ambitious multi-country initiative. This position is essential for crafting and refining the financial and controlling processes that underpin returns, refurbishing, scrap management, and cross-border logistics.The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA FICO and a comprehensive understanding of financial processes in retail or supply chain settings. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with project teams to design and implement finance and controlling solutions that align seamlessly with the new collection center operating model. Facilitate the establishment of financial processes for returns, inventory write-offs, transfers, refurbishments, scrap/recycling, and reverse logistics.Configure essential SAP FICO modules, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Product Costing. Ensure precise financial integration with SAP MM, SD, and warehouse operations for the new centers. Conduct gap analyses, define business requirements, and map processes for multi-country implementations.Lead data migration efforts, oversee testing phases (SIT/UAT), and manage user training and documentation. Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to local accounting standards. Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and offer recommendations for continuous improvement.Guarantee reporting accuracy and contribute to the design of dashboards for cost tracking, inventory valuation, and center performance metrics. Required Qualifications&Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related discipline. Over 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant, with S/4HANA expertise. Profound understanding of financial processes within retail, logistics, or reverse supply chain environments. Experience in multi-country systemrollouts or localization is advantageous.Ability to translate business needs into actionable SAP configurations. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Professional certifications such as SAP FICO, CPA, CMA, or PMP are a plus.
