Meetings&Events Specialist Hi new colleague? Let me introduce myself: my name is Carolien and I work as HR Business Partner at Pestana Amsterdam Riverside, a beautiful monumental hotel located alongside the Amstel River. We are looking for passionate colleagues to join our team.

is part of the Pestana Collection Hotels. It offers 154 elegant guestrooms and suites, a Cocoon Wellness Spa, a restaurant and bar, and eight meeting rooms that can host events up to 200 people.

What will you be doing? As the Meetings&Events Specialist you will be the first contact of guests looking for a venue to host events, from business meetings to social occasions such as private dinners or high tea. You will discuss possibilities, propose alternatives, and create unique experiences at Pestana.

Working alongside the Meetings&Events Manager, you will be part of a small, enthusiastic team where every day is different. Your key responsibilities include:

Organizing and communicating events from A to Z.

Creating personalized offers to meet guest expectations.

Preparing quotes, proposals, contracts and invoices for external parties.

Organizing show rounds for existing and potential partners to showcase our location.

Assisting clients with F&B selections, event decoration, audio‑visual support, and overall event completion (upselling).

Maintaining clear communication with relevant departments.

Participating in weekly event meetings and providing operational departments with relevant information.

Being present at major business activities and events at the hotel.

Following up with clients after events to build relationships.

Collaborating with the Meetings&Events Manager to devise innovative sales and marketing activities to expand event possibilities.

What do we expect of you?

Proactivity, autonomy and creativity.

Organized and structured work style.

Positive attitude and a real team‑player mindset.

Completed MBO or HBO education in hospitality or tourism.

Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong account‑management skills.

Fluency in English; Dutch not mandatory but preferred.

Residence in or near Amsterdam.

Excellent sales skills and the ability to think outside the box.

First operational experience within the hotel industry is a big advantage.

Flexibility and adaptability to change.

Experience with Opera Cloud.
