For one of our respected clients in North Holalnd, we are looking for an experienced

Trade Controller

who can bridge the gap between finance and trading and play a key role in managing financial performance and trading risks.

The Role As Trade Controller, you are a strategic partner to the trading and commercial teams. You will be responsible for analyzing trading results, monitoring hedge positions, managing risk exposure, and providing clear financial insights that support decision-making and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze trading results, margins, and market developments

Monitor and report on hedge effectiveness and risk exposures

Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

Identify financial risks and opportunities within trading activities

Improve processes related to trade control, financial reporting, and compliance

Act as a key interface between trading, risk, and finance departments

Your Profile

Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a control function, preferably within a trading or commodity-related environment

Proven experience with hedging, financial instruments, or risk management

Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
