Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure? If so, CIP Terra Technologies is currently looking for a Project Legal Counsel to join our team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Team The Project Legal Counsel will become part of a growing and experienced team of professionals contributing to the delivery of large‑scale projects of diverse technologies globally. Our goal is to assemble a motivated, diverse, and skilled team that works to make a meaningful, positive difference for the planet. This position will directly report to the Contract Director and will be based in Amsterdam with travel as required.
Role The Project Legal Counsel provides end‑to‑end legal support for renewable energy projects and corporate activities, with an emphasis on project development, construction, transactions, and contract management. The role requires direct practical experience handling complex project contracts, negotiations, and claims management withinan international project setting.
Responsibilities
Legal support across the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including development, construction, operation, and divestment phases.
Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering complex project documentation, including EPC contracts, supply agreements, service and O&M agreements, and related side agreements.
Drafting and negotiating NDAs, MoUs, framework agreements, and commercial contracts with suppliers, contractors, and project partners.
Managing and supporting contract negotiations with a pragmatic, risk‑based and commercially oriented approach.
Advising internal stakeholders on contractual structures, risk allocation, and mitigation strategies.
Ongoing contract management, interpretation, and enforcement throughout the project lifecycle.
Legal support for M&A transactions, joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio transactions in the renewable energy sector.
You The ideal candidate is a fully qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Attorney‑at‑Law or equivalent) with 5+ years of post‑qualification experience, gained in‑house or in private practice. Moreover, you have demonstrated experience in renewable energy or infrastructure projects, preferably in an international context.
We look for the following in the candidate
Extensive experience with FIDIC contracts, EPC contracts, supply agreements, service/O&M agreements, and NDAs.
Experienced in negotiating complex commercial and project contracts.
Experience in claims handling and contract management.
Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Fluency in English, both verbal and written, as well as great communication skills
