Host/Hostess - Selva restaurant - nhow Amsterdam RAI - Part-Time

Selva - "Another name for the Amazon, the lungs of the earth" We are looking for a friendly, pleasant, and communicative host team for our new restaurant. As a Host/ hostess, you play a key role in creating the right first impression for our guest, most of whom will visit the restaurant for the first time. Your goal will be to assist, resolve and follow up on any queries they may have, aiming at exceeding the guest's expectations. You will be answering the phone, making reservations, preparing the reservation reports for the day and communicating with the waiting brigade. By means of storytelling and passion, you will play a key role in what they will remember of Selva.

Inspired by tropical and Latin American cuisine and co-created by nhow Amsterdam, Selva is an award- winning rooftop restaurant at the 24th floor of nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel, overlooking the city of Amsterdam. Together with your team, the culinary creations, complemented by the amazing views, you will create the nhow experiences that our guests are hoping for.

What are you going to do? At Selva, we will literally lift our guests; we will bring them to a higher place to escape the busy streets of Amsterdam and let them emerge in a colorful and lush environment. Therefore, it is important that our teams facilitate a place for them to connect and interact with others whilst enjoying food, drinks, and views that stimulate their taste buds, eyes, and ears. In short: we offer a place where they will leave with only one wish. The desire to come back soon!

You will also be responsible for: Answering guest call Managing reservation software Preparing reservation reports and communicating these to the teams Following up on any special occasion such as guest birthdays, etc. Reviewing review and providing feedback Arranging table settings Participate on post-visit marketing

Apply n(h)ow if you meet the following requirements: Available for 2-3 days a week, with focus on Friday and Saturday At least 1 year of experience as a host/ hostess, ideally in a hospitality set up, or any other busy concept Proven experience as a team player Active listening Proven ability to create happy guestsExcellent command of English and Dutch language Pleasant, positive, and open attitude
