Head of Data and AI Engineering Amsterdam Hybrid 2 to 3 days onsite Circa 10,000 p/m + package
This is an opportunity to lead Data and AI engineering within a large, complex commercial environment. You will lead a newly created capability in a commercial team, shaping how data and AI move from ideas to enterprise grade solutions with real business impact.

Data and AI are seen as strategic enablers, with clear executive sponsorship and visibility across the business.
The Role Own and execute the Data and AI engineering strategy across Commercial Operations. Translate business demand into prioritised, scalable data and AI use cases. Lead and develop a team of 3 to 6 Data and AI Engineers. Define architecture, governance, security, and engineering standards aligned to global IT platforms.Act as the key connector between commercial stakeholders and central IT teams. Drive reusable data products and AI components to support cross functional delivery.
Your Skills and Experience Strong enterprise level Data and AI architecture experience. Proven leadership of engineering teams delivering production grade solutions. Hands on understanding of modern cloud data and AI platforms including Azure, Databricks, Python, and MLOps or LLMOps. Confidence operating within governance, security, and compliance frameworks.Excellent stakeholder management across business and technology teams.
