Data&Cloud Engineer, Amsterdam

We have partnered with an exciting deep-tech start-up building AI-powered intelligence for safety-critical and industrial environments. They are scaling fast and looking for a Senior Data&Cloud Engineer to help architect and build their cloud-native data and AI platform from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly technical team at an early stage, with real ownership, real impact, and genuine career progression. You'll be a key technical hire spanning cloud engineering, data engineering, and DevOps designing infrastructure that supports real-time analytics, industrial data processing, and AI/ML workloads across both AWS and on-prem environments.

What You'll Be Doing Building and operating AWS and on-prem infrastructure using Terraform/CloudFormation Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments at scale Building streaming and batch data pipelines, including Kafka and ETL workflows Supporting real-time analytics and ML pipelinesImplementing secure cloud architectures aligned to ISO 27001 / SOC2 Collaborating closely with AI/ML, software, and security engineering teams Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to key architecture decisions

Must-Have Skills Strong AWS cloud experience Infrastructure-as-Code Terraform or CloudFormation CI/CD - GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins Docker and Kubernetes Python or Go Kafka / streaming data platforms Experience across both cloud and on-prem environments Strong DevOps mindset automation, reliability, observability
