Overview

We are looking for a Consultant with strong expertise in structuring impactful presentations, streamlining and optimizing business processes, and managing data requests and input collection to support strategic decision‑making. The role is located in the Central Advice and Planning team and works closely with business partners across the organization to provide analytics, insights and independent strategic advice.Responsibilities

Provide financial results presentations, analyses and advice to relevant stakeholders. Ensure high‑quality, first‑time‑right deliverables. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with business partners and act as a business partner for all departments within the domestic bank. Proactively identify and implement improvements to content and processes to keep them relevant in a fast‑changing environment.Participate fully in budgeting and forecasting activities and provide accurate forward‑looking financial plans. Challenge and align with business controllers and stakeholders on forecasted and actual financial developments. Analyze actuals, derive action points and drive follow‑ups. Play an active role in the Finance Business Advice (FBA) department and contribute to overarching projects covering the full bank.Seek efficiencies in processes and improve business‑relevant insights. Qualifications

Current residency in the Netherlands; able to work 50% hybrid. Master’s degree in Finance. Experience in consulting within a bank and a sincere interest in banking and market developments. Experience translating complex data into sound advice and giving independent strategic advice to senior management.Strong understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet dynamics of financial institutions. Experience analysing existing business processes and workflows; designing and implementing process optimization strategies. Collaboration skills to gather requirements and document processes; ability to develop and maintain process maps, procedures, and guidelines.Proven advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of data quality improvement and efficient data handling. Alignment with ING values and demonstrated behavior consistent with those values. Salaried according to GJA16/FS10, 36‑ or 40‑hour week, 12‑month contract with view to extension. Individual leave: 24 + 2 days (based on 36‑hour week). Diversity leave: 3 days per year (1.5 paid, 1.5 unpaid). CSR days: up to 2 days per year for volunteering. 13th‑month salary and 8% holiday payment.Individual Savings Contribution (BIS) of 3.5% of gross annual salary.
