The Role Lead and develop a team of data scientists embedded within product teams Set and own the ML and AI strategy, aligning technical direction with long‑term product and business goals Champion an AI‑first approach, identifying where traditional ML, generative AI, or hybrid solutions deliver the most valueOversee the full lifecycle of ML and AI systems, from experimentation to reliable production deployment Drive high standards in model evaluation, MLOps, and engineering best practices Make informed build‑versus‑buy decisions for models, platforms, and third‑party tools Act as a senior partner to product, engineering, and business stakeholders
Your Skills&Experience Strong commercial experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production Deep understanding of core ML concepts and modern AI techniques, including generative AI and large language models Experience leading or mentoring data science or ML teams in a product‑driven environmentStrategic mindset, with the ability to connect technical decisions to business impact Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and making decisions with imperfect information Solid knowledge of modern data stacks, MLOps, and scalable ML architectures
