Meeting&Events Intern

who is enthusiastic, proactive, and is ready to take part in a dynamic design hotel. The hotel has 10 modern meeting spaces located on the 23rd and 24th floor, with stunning 360° views of Amsterdam. In collaboration with the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre, we help facilitate smaller team meetings, presentations, after-parties, social gathering, product launches, and much more. The Meeting&Events Operations team, or Banqueting team as we call it, is small but mighty and it consists of Banqueting Manager, two Supervisors, 2 full-time waiters, and a team of flex-pool colleagues.

What part will you play in creating the unforgettable? As a Food&Beverage Intern - Banqueting you will learn all the ins-and-outs of running various meetings and events in a large hotel. This can range from a small boardroom meeting for 10 pax, an all-day meeting for 80 pax including lunch and breaks, to a product launch for 200 pax with an open bar and walk-in dinner in the evening. You will be involved in the preparation for the meeting, the set-up of the meeting room, meet&greet the guests, troubleshooting during the events, food and drink service, clearing up and break down of the events. Note : that is an operational hands-on the floor internship and not office-based events organizing internship.

What makes you the perfect fit for this bold journey? You are currently enrolled in hospitality management, events, or similar course and this internship is required by your school; A good command of English; You can work independently as well as in a team and you have a guest-oriented attitude;You are stress resistant, you have good communication skills and you have a flexible attitude in terms of working hours and work pressure; In addition, you are innovative, resourceful, have a commercial attitude and are available for at least 4 months.
