Role Description Practical hands-on experience with solutioning and implementation of data (governance) models in coordination with Management, IT and Business stakeholders. Project experience with data migrations and integration projects in complex multi-domain environments, including cloud migrations and hybrid architectures.Solid knowledge of relevant tools and methods for data management (data analysis, data management, data architecture). Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau). Knowledge of data lake house technologies (Snowflake, Databricks). Basic knowledge of Machine Learning pipelines.Experience with the public sector.

Essential Skills Inventory and Documentation Mapping of all existing systems and databases (Oracle and related platforms) Documentation of data flows, relations, and dependencies between systems Set-up and maintenance of a source catalogue and metadata repository Reverse Engineering Data ModellingAnalysis of existing Oracle schemes and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) Identification of tables, views, primary key foreign key (PKFK) relations, triggers, and packages Design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models Documentation of reference and master data Data Profiling Quality ManagementExecute data profiling on source systems Set up data quality reports (completeness, consistency, duplicates) Advise on clean-up, normalization, and performance-optimization Governance, Privacy Compliance Design of data governance models and processes Classification of data in line with laws and regulations like AVG, GDPR and BIODesign of retention periods and guidelines for anonymizing non-productive environments Advise on encryption, key management, and role-based access control Migration Integration Design of a logical data model and mapping of source attributes to target entities Design of migration (phased, dry-runs, validation) and integration strategies (e.g. of API driven data platforms)Collaborate with other Data Engineers for ETL (extract, transform and load) / ELT (Extract, load and transform) design and implementation Safeguarding of data quality, compliance, and performance during migration Architecture Innovation Advise on data architecture principles (Data Vault, Dimensional Modelling, Data Mesh)Integration with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and streaming data (Kafka, Oracle GoldenGate) Support cloud migrations (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data lake house architectures
