Senior Inventory Optimization Specialist - Central Hub …, Amsterdam

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Central, the Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability of inventory to support the Central sales plan, optimizing inventory levels across clusters. They identify issues such as excess or low stock, drive decision‑making to resolve it, and support all decisions with appropriate information and reporting. This role is a 6-month contract to cover for maternity leave.

About The Role

Ensure communication with cluster and Category Planners for priorities for stock as well as NPD and excess stock.

Ensure inbound containers are prioritised against stock and sales plans.

Monitor receipt plans, provide regular updates on inventory levels and flag short-term stock issues foreseen with the region and clusters.

Define cluster/market allocation and ensure that stock receipt plans reflect this.

Define the safety stock policy and values for the region with the support of Category planners.

Produce weekly stock projections at cluster/market level including inbounds, forecast and actuals to be distributed across the region.

Produce out of stock reports and other stock reports and distribute them to all relevant parties.

Own and manage the opportunity and rebalance process at regional level across clusters and markets.

Approve or decline opportunities at regional level.

Make decisions about the location of stock between markets/clusters and move stock to optimise inventory.

Ensure product availability on relevant storage locations in line with forecast, order book, and/or allocation.

Manage the execution of Excess/EOL stock.

Serve as the connection between SC Central function and Cluster functions for all queries and reporting requirements.

About You

Proven experience and passion in driving inventory processes.

Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practice.

Strong reporting skills, including advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau.

Business and results oriented.
