Senior Full-stack developer PHP / LAST stack, Amsterdam

About the job We are looking for a skilled full‑stack developer to join our product team. You will write and maintain front‑end code in HTML/CSS/JS and create backend logic and APIs. We are a small team and this is a high‑impact role where you will work directly with product owners and other developers (mostly based in the Netherlands) todeliver end‑to‑end solutions. This is a hybrid onsite (Amsterdam/Utrecht) and remote position.

Your key responsibilities will be

Develop, test, deliver and maintain production‑scale web application functionality.

Translate user stories, designs, and specifications into working solutions.

Ensure high performance, quality, and clean code standards.

Troubleshoot and support end‑user issues.

Collaborate with partners on cloud and platform development.

Your profile You should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a track record of developing production‑scale web applications and services. You need a solid understanding of both front‑end and back‑end technologies, as well as experience working with databases, servers, and APIs.

Required skills

Experience with HTML/CSS/JS

Experience with PHP&Symfony

Experience with Doctrine or other ORM

Experience with PHPUnit for Unit, Integration and E2E Tests.

Experience manipulating data using SQL, XML, JSON etc.

Experience working with APIs and integration patterns such as GraphQL, REST, webhooks etc.

Experience with Docker

Good written and verbal English

Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.

Experience with Git or similar version control.

Experience working in an agile/scrum team.

Desired skills

Experience with Tailwind

Experience with the LAST stack (Stimulus, Turbo etc.)

Proficiency working directly with (SQL) databases and search indexes.

Familiarity with ElasticSearch

Affinity with AWS or other cloud service provider.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions etc.)

Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field

Knowledge of the Dutch language
