Based in Wijchen, the Netherlands, our client specializes in designing and manufacturing high-quality, custom-built trailers used around the world. As a Special Trailer Mechanic, you’ll work in a modern, well-equipped facility and be part of a close-knit team where craftsmanship and innovation go hand in hand.This position includes both Repair Mechanic and Service Mechanic responsibilities. While the core tasks are the same, service mechanics also represent the company on-site and provide urgent support at customer locations. Depending on your performance, this temporary contract can transition into a long-term or even permanent position, with the opportunity to be hired directly by the client.What You’ll Do

As a Repair Mechanic, you’ll: Inspect trailers using reports and functional tests Maintain and overhaul trailers per customer specs (fluids, parts, wear components) Repair damage or deviations—modifying structural parts and relocating/replacing components Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faultsClose work orders and process return parts Sustain and contribute to product and process improvements Identify additional service/repair needs and communicate with the team As a Service Mechanic, you’ll also: Visit customer locations for on-site diagnostics and repairs Participate in the first-line on-call breakdown serviceDiscuss completed work and negotiate repairs with customers Take initiative in implementing improvements Train and coach fellow or external mechanics What We’re Looking For

Minimum B1 level in English or Dutch Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanics Previous experience in a similar role preferred Solution-oriented, independent, and accurate work style Strong communication and customer-service skills (especially for service work) Valid B driving license (BE is a bonus)Willingness to be part of an on-call breakdown rotation (service mechanic) Offer

Full-time role (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday) Occasional weekday overtime Competitive gross salary: €18 to €20/hour based on experience Trial day on-site; successful candidates will be offered long-term work Shoes provided Travel allowance: €0.21/km if using your own car Commute by bike, e-bike, or carWork Environment
