Responsibilities

Conducting and supervising insulation coordination studies to evaluate the system’s technical performance due to grid changes, such as the introduction of long cable connections or the transition from meshed to radial operation in high‑voltage networks, and identifying effective mitigation options.

Supporting power quality studies relevant to the evaluation of amplification of background harmonic voltages, harmonic propagation, and rapid voltage changes.

Reviewing insulation coordination studies as part of the compliance verification process and developing and maintaining internal policies related to insulation coordination.

Acting as the contact point between System Integrity and Asset Technology on relevant topics.

Qualifications

Finished Master or PhD education in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.

Deep knowledge of insulation coordination and power quality and their application in power systems.

Good understanding of power system planning.

Experience with PSCAD and DIgSILENT Power Factory is a must.

Experience with EMTP‑ATP or EMTP‑RV is an advantage.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the power systems sector.

Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.

Permanent contract with a two‑month probation period, based on 40 hours per week.

Salary on collective labour agreement scale 9:€4,675 – €9,196 per month (based on 40 hours), including annual bonuses.

70% pension contribution.
