Jouw rol Tasks
The growing complexity of system operation processes due to the energy transition requires sophisticated concepts and developments to efficiently balance the system and facilitate the market. Many of these developments are taking place within the European environment. You will be a bridge between such international developments and TenneT's system operation processes.
You will follow the international developments, identify their impact and develop process adaptations accordingly for both TenneT processes and international processes.
You will contribute to the shaping of EU regulation and processes and will safeguard the principles of the Dutch market model.
You will reflect on the TenneT system operation policy and evaluate this with regards to future system needs.
You will participate in national and international working groups to bring important topics forward and to propose relevant and innovative solutions, where relevant substantiated by data analyses (e.g. of electricity market developments).
You will align international developments with TenneT's internal development portfolio.

Jouw profiel&achtergrond Profile
You successfully finished your academic studies in a relevant field and/or have relevant working experience in the power systems field and have an academic thinking level.
You will participate in international projects, therefore a positive attitude towards working in an international team with different nationalities is of importance.
You can both function as a team player, and also can take ownership and focus on topics that you need to take care of individually.
You are able to switch between styles to follow dynamics of a large working group, and also proactively try to redirect developments when needed in such a context.
Good verbal and writing skills in English are mandatory.
Experience in working for a transmission system operator in the field of system operation is recommended, especially experience in energy market development and specifically balancing markets are highly welcomed.
Profound knowledge of processes in electricity markets and system operations is highly welcomed.
Skills in data analytics are highly welcomed.
