Global R&D Manager, Assen

Bekaert Heating Solutions is seeking a dynamic and innovative Global R&D Manager to lead our Research and Development department. You will drive the development of cutting-edge products, secure patents, and shape the technological vision of our organization in the energy transition to heat pumps. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the R&D roadmap (X+1, X+3, X+5) focusing on sustainable heating solutions. Lead the creation of the“product of the future” with a strong emphasis on IP protection. Foster partnerships across the value chain to identify joint growth opportunities. Continuously gather and analyse market intelligence to inform product development.Cultivate a culture of creativity and innovation within the R&D team. Manage and coach a high-performing R&D team, ensuring alignment with Bekaert’s goals. Maintain and share updated knowledge on global rules, laws, and industry standards. Lead R&D project teams, ensuring optimal planning, execution, and communication. Minimum Requirements: University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Mechanics or Energy. 10+ years of relevant experience in heating solutions. Experience in the development of heat pumps or Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers is highly desirable.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to interface with local and international teams. Innovative and passionate about new heating technologies. Strong analytical skills and a strategic, helicopter view. Excellent people management, project management, and coaching skills. Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.Commercially savvy with the ability to deliver messages effectively to diverse audiences. Be part of something bigger!
