Maintenance Technician, Barendrecht

We are looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to join the on‑site engineering team at a highly automated distribution facility.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance, and keeping automated systems running smoothly in a fast‑paced operational environment.

You will be part of a close‑knit maintenance team supporting automated material handling equipment including conveyors, robotics, and warehouse automation systems.

What you’ll be doing

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated warehouse equipment

Responding to breakdowns and performing corrective maintenance

Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults

Supporting continuous operation of conveyors, robotics, and automated systems

Assisting with ad‑hoc maintenance and technical troubleshooting

Working with PLC/HMI‑controlled equipment for fault diagnosis and system recovery

Escalating complex issues to specialist support teams where required

Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently

What we’re looking for

Background in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic maintenance

Experience within maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse automation, or industrial environments

Comfortable working on automated equipment and conveyor systems

Basic understanding of PLC/HMI systems for troubleshooting purposes

Practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills

Good communication skills and team mentality

Basic Microsoft Office knowledge

English speaking required; Dutch is a strong advantage

Must live within commuting distance of Barendrecht

Working pattern

40 hours per week

2‑shifts

Operating hours between 06:00 and 23:00
