Introduction A new customer request has come in: what materials are needed, is the calculation correct, and how can production make this as efficient as possible later on? As a Production Planner, you will translate the request into a clear preparation for sales and production. You will ensure that drawings, material lists, work orders, and schedules are correct so that colleagues on the shop floor know exactly what needs to be done. Organization This organization has been active as a producer of custom industrial packaging since 2002. What started on an industrial estate in Eindhoven has grown into multiple production locations with a total of 17,500 m² of business space. The locations utilize modern machinery, and the entire production process is managed in-house.

Within the company, an experienced and enthusiastic team is ready, possessing extensive knowledge of packaging solutions. The focus is on quality, delivery reliability, and flexibility. As a result, the organization can offer suitable solutions for diverse packaging challenges, ranging from engineering and mass production to on‑site packaging and warehouse storage.

Function As a Work Preparer, you are the link between sales, production, and the shop floor. You create material lists and assemblies for customer price inquiries and search for new materials where necessary. You request prices so that sales has the correct information for quotes. When an order proceeds, you further process it for production. You check the calculation, adjust it if necessary, print work orders and relevant drawings or production sketches, and verify that the required materials are available. You also create draft orders and ensure that production can start with good preparation.

When it comes to new products and prototypes, you actively observe during production. Together with the production manager and production employee, you check if the product is correct, both during its creation and afterward upon completion. If the quality control indicates that adjustments are needed, you incorporate these into the material lists or assemblies.

In addition, you will create drawings in AutoCAD, link them to the correct material statuses where necessary, and prepare cutting lists for the different sawing machines. In doing so, you will help optimize material usage. You will plan production in consultation with sales and production, keep material statuses and assemblies up‑to‑date, monitor critical stock levels, and plan stock requirements based on orders in the system. Your role also includes post‑calculation, maintaining the ERP system Proteus, and managing the Windows folder structure. You will regularly check products on the shop floor and, when necessary,visit customers or suppliers to improve or clarify product preparation. Do you identify structural problems or potential improvements? Then report them according to the applicable procedures.

Job Requirements What is expected of you?

You have a minimum of vocational college (MBO) work and thinking level in the field of work preparation;

You have a command of the Dutch and English languages;

You have 3 years of experience in a similar role.;

You have experience with or knowledge of AutoCAD.;

You can switch well between sales, production, customers, and suppliers.;

You have an eye for quality, planning, and material usage.
