DSPA develops and supplies innovative and environmentally responsible fire suppression systems used worldwide to protect people, infrastructure, and critical environments.
Due to our continued international growth, we are looking for a technically minded and commercially driven Business Developer to strengthen our international sales activities.
Business Developer | Technical Sales | Fire Safety Full-time | Permanent Position
Location: Netherlands
Office-based with international travel activities
Job Description As a Business Developer, you will focus on the international growth of DSPA’s aerosol and nitrogen fire suppression solutions. This role combines technical understanding with commercial responsibility, requiring you to advise customers, develop distributor networks, and support projects from first contact to final deal.
You will work closely with customers, engineering teams, distributors, and international partners to develop tailored fire protection solutions across multiple industries and applications.
Key Responsibilities Technical Sales&Customer Support
Analyze customer applications and technical requirements
Advise clients on suitable fire suppression solutions
Prepare technically substantiated quotations and proposals
Translate risks, standards, and project requirements into practical solutions
Support customers throughout the commercial process
Business Development
Develop new international markets and distributor networks
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
Identify commercial opportunities and growth potential
Negotiate commercial and technical conditions with partners and clients
Project&Product Involvement
Act as a link between customers, engineering, and production teams
Apply product knowledge across different industries and applications
Represent DSPA at international trade fairs and technical events
What We Are Looking For Education
HBO or university degree, preferably in a technical or technical-commercial field
Experience&Profile
Experience in B2B sales, preferably involving technical systems or installations
OR a strong technical affinity combined with motivation to develop commercial skills further
Independent, structured, and result-oriented mindset
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers
Languages
Professional English speaking and writing skills are required
Dutch is not required, but considered a plus for internal communication
Additional languages are considered a plus
Additional Knowledge
Knowledge of fire protection systems is considered a plus, but not required
