The role of

Senior Logistics Analyst

ensures the operational delivery performance of an S+N third‑party logistics provider. Liaising with internal and external customer contacts, finished goods suppliers and freight forwarders globally to achieve and exceed global supply chain service to customers. The job holder drives continuous improvements in line with S+N and the third‑party logisticsprovider.

What will you be doing?

Process supervision and optimization to ensure compliant operation.

Create and maintain QMS procedures and ensure they are implemented and executed at the 3PL.

Highlight any need for corrective and preventative action to S+N, suppliers and customers.

Support destination labeling in line with newly set up MDR process requirements.

Execute any on‑site support activities needed from the S+N side.

Project Management Support

Support global, regional or local logistics and IT projects.

Manage 3PL related projects independently.

Continuous improvement activities on systems and processes.

System Interface Management

Track stock reconciliation between S+N and the third‑party logistics provider and their warehouse management systems.

Resolve IDOC errors to keep the interfaces clean and the systems aligned.

Investigate with 3rd‑party logistics provider and put in corrective action to ensure stock transactions are executed correctly and maintain good inventory integrity.

Stakeholder Management

Act as a key contact in day‑to‑day interaction between Smith&Nephew departments and our 3PL.

Investigate special requirements and support business partners in finding the most effective solution.

Daily Logistics Operations

Ensure transparent logistics operation by executing operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current.

Oversee operational performance of the 3PL with effective KPIs.

Attend daily calls and monthly as well as quarterly 3PL business review meetings.

Follow up and investigate customer complaints.

Manage rework orders and oversee return management.

Actively balance the trade‑off between cost and service, e.g. freight costs, 3PL charges.

Manage period and quarter end processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management or relevant logistics industry experience.

Experience in a regulated environment (preferably in the medical device industry) is a plus.

In‑depth knowledge of office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

In‑depth knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems using interface technology is a major plus.

Fluency in English.
