Join STS Group as our next HSE Lead in the Netherlands!

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional to join our Life Sciences project in the Netherlands. STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety and Environmental practices, this leadership role is critical for our business.

The Opportunity As our next HSE Lead, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring everyone goes home safe at the end of each day. You’ll work closely with the site management teams to ensure a positive and well‑informed HSE culture flourishes. Key to this role will be identifying all HSE risks and ensuring the best prevention and mitigationcontrols are in place.

What You’ll Do

Conduct regular site audits and assessments, follow up on corrective actions and be the go‑to for all things Health, Safety and Environmental.

Develop project specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (HSE Plans, RAMS, Aspects&Impacts Register etc).

Ensure our sites are compliant with all relevant HSE legislation, and adhere to our HSEQ Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001&45001).

Proactively work with site management teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote the project EHS requirements.

Make sure company inductions, site orientations and training are delivered in a timely manner.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years’ HSE leadership experience in a construction environment, ideally on electrical and/or mechanical projects.

Relevant third level qualification and training in Environmental, Health&Safety.

Thorough knowledge of current HSE related legislation®ulations.

Ability to efficiently manage all HSE issues on your projects.

Excellent IT skills, you pick up new systems with ease.

A self‑starter and capable of working on your own initiative.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

High proficiency in English language (written&spoken).

Desirable but not Essential

Prior experience in Pharmaceutical projects.

Work experience in the Netherlands.

Completed instructor training courses (e.g. working at heights, manual handling or abrasive wheels).
