To support our growing project portfolio in the EU region, we are looking for a

Junior Advanced Process Control Engineer (APC)

to join our international Process Optimization team.

Role Overview As a Junior APC Engineer, you will work alongside experienced APC specialists to support the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced process control applications across Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to grow into a mature APC engineering role while being coached by senior engineers and team leads.

Your work will contribute to improved plant stability, reduced variability, energy optimization, and safer operations.

Key Responsibilities You will be coached and gradually take ownership of:

Collecting and analysing process data to support APC studies

Assisting in tuning and troubleshooting of PID/base‑layer control loops

Supporting the preparation of APC Functional Design Specifications (FDS)

Helping plan and execute plant step tests under supervision

Assisting in building dynamic process models

Supporting configuration and simulation of Model Predictive Controllers (e.g., Aspen DMC3, Yokogawa PACE, Honeywell Profit Suite RMPCT)

Contributing to benefit studies and documentation

Supporting commissioning and maintenance activities at customer sites

This role involves

regular short‑duration travel

across Europe.

Your Profile

Master’s degree in Chemical, Process, Control, Electrical Engineering, or similar

0–3 years of experience in process control, APC, process engineering, or plant operations

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Eagerness to learn APC technologies and grow into an expert role

Comfortable working in international and multicultural teams

Willingness to travel regularly within Europe

Experience with Aspen DMC3, PACE, or Profit Suite is a plus (not required at entry level)

Fluency in English is essential

German language skills are a strong advantage , due to significant activity in Germany and surrounding regions

Strong communication skills and customer‑focused mindset

This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into an APC specialist with the full support of senior engineers.
