Overview The Manager Supply Chain Finance oversees the financial metrics for the Transportation Operations within the EMEA Supply Chain operations, which includes both Brick and Mortar and Direct to Consumer segments. The role will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of these segments, as well as partnering with operational leaders to provide visibility into expenses.
Responsibilities
Manages the completion of the weekly financial forecast for EMEA Transportation and month‑end closure including reporting.
Works with management, using critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, to translate goals into actionable tasks. Partners with Transportation Operational counterparts to develop actionable recommendations for Supply Chain leadership.
Prepare various financial analyses to determine profitability, risk, and impact on the company.
Utilize analysis to contribute to the decision‑making process that will help deliver on financial goals.
Partner with Operations to develop a detailed expense budget and track/understand variances versus prior year/submissions.
Drive analysis and recommendations through business intelligence and reporting. Support and present recommendations to leadership on day‑to‑day business opportunities/risks and strategies to capture/mitigate impact.
Perform financial close processes and preparation of reconciliations.
Maintain appropriate internal control documentation, as applicable, and adhere to formally documented control procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with Sarbanes–Oxley legislation and to prevent any audit exceptions.
Prepare/approve complex financial entries in the General Ledger as needed.
Provide support to management on special projects and requests.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with a major in finance, accounting or related field.
4–6 years of related experience. Supply Chain/Logistics experience is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word. Power BI is a plus.
Maximum commute distance 60 km one way.
Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation). Fluent in English (verbal and written).
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
