Role Overview The Business Controller will be responsible for the financial control, analysis and reporting that keeps our growth on track. You'll turn numbers into insight, monitor performance against budget, safeguard cost discipline and give the CEO and leadership the data they need to make fast, confident decisions. You'll work cross-functionally with finance, operations and commercial teams to surface opportunities and keep the business financially healthy and scalable.Key Responsibilities Finance&Control Run the financial control cycle: budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, cash flow monitoring, cost control, month/quarter-end reporting and invoicing oversight. Build and maintain KPIs, dashboards and financial models to measure performance and flag deviations early. Deliver variance analysis and clear, actionable management reporting. Support strategic planning with the financial analysis behind new markets, investments, partnerships and growth initiatives.Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax/regulatory requirements (Dutch&international as relevant). Support liaison with external auditors, banks and advisors, and contribute to risk management and internal controls. Business Partnering&Culture Partner cross-functionally with operations and commercial teams to identify cost savings, margin improvements and process efficiencies. Bring an ownership mindset: spot problems, come with solutions, and move as fast as responsibly possible. Support a data-driven, results-oriented culture where the best idea wins and progress beats perfection.Act as a trusted financial sparring partner to the CEO and leadership, providing the insight behind key decisions. Candidate Profile Required 3–5 years (or more) of experience as a business controller, financial controller or in FP&A, ideally within logistics, e-commerce or fast-growing service operations. Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, cost analysis and KPI design. Advanced analytical skills; confident with financial modelling, Excel and reporting tools. Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable in a dynamic, high-growth environment; hands-on and able to wear multiple hats. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture.Clear communicator who can influence stakeholders and work cross-functionally. Fluent in English; Dutch language skills advantageous. On-site in Vianen full-time (we believe being co-located adds value to culture, decision-making and operational agility). Nice-to-have Experience in software/platform-driven logistics or fulfilment solutions.Familiarity with carriers, customs and cross-border shipping economics.
