Senior Staff Software Engineer, The Hague

Overview

You will be responsible for leading a team of high-calibre engineers with strong academic backgrounds, and you will enjoy technical discussion around design, development and software engineering best-practice. Supported by a team of DevOps Engineers and Product design specialists, the Lead Software Engineer must have strong communication skills and enjoy coaching and mentoring developers in a highly collaborative environment.Responsibilities

Lead, coach and mentor engineering teams Collaborate on design, development and software engineering best-practice Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams Engage in experimentation with new technologies outside your comfort zone (e.g., Rust, Python, Next.js, NoSQL, SQL, Express.js)Qualifications

Minimum eight years of commercial experience Passion for emerging and interdisciplinary topics (agentic systems, machine learning, data analytics, computational modelling, etc.) Willingness to experiment with new technologies outside your comfort zone Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skillsCommercial experience using Git Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Benefits and Working Style
