As a CNC Machinist/Programmer at NTS Drachten, you are at the foundation of our production process. You work independently with high-quality 3- and/or 5-axis CNC machines and effortlessly switch between precise volume production and challenging NPI processes. From programming to monitoring the final quality, you take responsibility for the entire process. Furthermore, you work at the highest level of accuracy. You work with high‑tech machines and high‑end customers, producing unique parts of exceptional quality. You work with high‑quality and exotic materials, making your work extra varied and technically challenging. Your contribution is directly visible, your ideas are heard, and your craftsmanship makes a difference! You work in a compact, close‑knit team with a direct and entrepreneurial atmosphere. You work closely with engineering and work preparation to make new products manufacturable and continuously improve processes. Independently setting up, operating, and optimizing modern CNC machines;

Programming complex products in CAM software, preferably TopSolid;

Monitoring the quality of your own work according to the strict tolerances our high‑tech customers require;

Preparing fixtures and checking/confirming tools, products, and materials by reading and applying technical drawings and work instructions;

Producing unique ultra‑precise products with micron accuracy, mostly single pieces and sometimes small series.

Requirements

A completed technical education at MBO level 3 or 4, preferably in Machining or Mechanical Engineering;

Demonstrable experience in independently operating and/or programming CNC machines;

Experience with CAD/CAM systems, preferably TopSolid;

Good command of the Dutch language in speech and writing, given the work instructions, drawings, and communication on the work floor;

Willingness to work in 2‑shifts (17.19% shift allowance) (6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 2:15 pm to 11:00 pm, Mon to Fri).
