Engineer - Power Lines, Duiven

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Lines Engineer to join the Lines team and play a critical role in the technical realization of high-voltage infrastructure projects. You will coordinate engineering activities, review designs and specifications, manage procurement processes, and provide technical guidance to ensure the successful delivery of above-ground high-voltage grid installations for major clients including TenneT and Liander.

This is a hybrid position based in Duiven, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office for collaboration and knowledge sharing, with flexibility to work from home or at project sites for the remaining days.

Key Responsibilities Engineering Coordination&Management

Coordinate all engineering activities within assigned projects, ensuring seamless integration across disciplines

Facilitate mutual coordination between team members to deliver high-quality outputs on time and within scope

Act as a technical liaison between internal project teams, clients (TenneT/Liander), and external authorities

Design&Technical Review

Develop, review, and validate calculations, designs, and tender specifications

Create and manage project schedules and budgets

Conduct quality assurance testing on materials through factory acceptance tests

Provide substantive supervision of technical designs (Basic Designs - BOs, Detailed Designs - DOs, and Implementation Designs - UOs)

Procurement&Tender Management

Lead tender processes for services, materials, and construction works

Evaluate supplier proposals and ensure technical compliance with project requirements

Construction Support

Provide on-site technical support during construction and installation phases

Ensure engineering designs are correctly implemented in the field

Knowledge Sharing&Mentoring

Actively participate in project consultations and technical reviews

Share expertise with junior engineers and team members, fostering professional development within the team

Project Scope You will contribute to high-impact national infrastructure projects, including:

380kV line connections (e.g., Rilland-Tilburg corridor: temporary take‑off points, pylon reinforcements, and overhangs)

New substation line connections (e.g., Lelystad substation construction and looping)

Grid maintenance and expansion projects throughout the Netherlands
