Position We are looking for a motivated

Scientific Software Developer

to join our growing team at ALTEN Netherlands. In essence, a scientific software developer is someone who specializes in software design, programming, and testing for our customers who often have complex data pipelines and heavy processing needs.

Responsibilities Design Assist in interpreting feature requests and translating them into software requirements. Participate in the development of block diagrams.

Development Write and test simple Matlab/Python systems and user interfaces. Implement basic data processing pipelines.

Documentation and Collaboration Document code and development processes. Collaborate with more experienced engineers to review code and troubleshoot issues. Participate in team meetings and design reviews.

Requirements 0-2 years of experience in software development. Background in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or related. Good problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic understanding of software design principles, object‑oriented programming.Familiarity with MATLAB/Python. Familiarity with source control tools (Git, SVN). Basic understanding of data engineering. English proficiency (written and spoken).
