Company Profile Our client is a global logistics service provider operating in a high-volume, operationally complex environment. The organization manages multiple sites, cost centers and legal entities, requiring a finance function with strong accounting discipline, robust controls and deep technical expertise.

Role Overview You are a technically strong accounting professional who takes ownership of the numbers. You are comfortable working in structured, process‑driven environments and are confident explaining complex accounting topics to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Full ownership of general ledger accounting, including journal entries and accruals

Execution and coordination of month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close

Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation files

Ensuring compliance with IFRS and local statutory accounting standards

Preliminary review of financial statements prior to final close

Variance analysis and investigation of deviations versus expectations

Acting as primary contact for external auditors and statutory reporting

Reviewing accounting treatments for new processes, projects and changes

Maintaining and improving internal controls and accounting procedures

Supporting finance management with accounting insights and documentation

Contributing to process improvements within GXO's finance organization

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

3‑7 years of experience in accounting, financial control or audit

Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and statutory reporting)

Proven experience with balance sheet management and reconciliations

Experience in large, international or operationally complex organizations

Hands‑on mindset with high attention to detail and discipline

Comfortable working with ERP systems (Oracle or similar is a plus)

Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage
