In this role, you are responsible for defining and driving flow and thermal system architecture within complex multidisciplinary environments. You contribute to strategic business cases and technical roadmaps by translating customer needs into high-performance, cost-effective solutions. You operate at system level, ensuring that flow and thermal performance, safety, and quality are fully integrated into the overall product design.
Responsibilities: Contribute to business cases and technical roadmaps from a flow&thermal perspective. Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and design teams to balance performance, cost, effort, and risk. Translate customer needs into system specifications and define flow&thermal architectures. Develop conceptual designs and set budgets for (sub)systems. Specify test and integration requirements to support the full V-model development cycle. Define and execute modeling and analysis strategies, translating results into system-level performance. Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and overall product quality.Manage stakeholders and provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams. Lead by example and motivate engineers to take ownership of their work. Build and maintain strong internal and external networks. Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and advanced solutions. Contribute to broader mechanical design decisions beyond flow&thermal when required.
What you bring: Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Physics. At least 10 years of experience in flow&thermal engineering within high-tech systems or equipment. Proven ability to operate across multiple levels of abstraction, from detailed analysis to system architecture. Broad multidisciplinary understanding and ability to integrate F&T expertise within complex systems. Strong analytical skills and experience with modeling and simulation methods. Experience with defining and selecting standard flow&thermal components. Ability to apply F&T expertise within a broader mechanical system context. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
