Our client is a dynamic and growing retail organisation with multiple locations across the Netherlands, offering a fast-paced and people-focused work environment. For their locations in Eindhoven and Venlo, we are currently looking for an Absence Case Manager
The Role
As an Absence Case Manager, you are the specialist when it comes to employee absenteeism and reintegration. You serve as the connecting link between management, HR, the company doctor, UWV, occupational health specialists and employees. Drawing on your expertise in Dutch reintegration legislation, you advise and support management throughout the full reintegration process— from the initial sick report to the recovery notification. You are also responsible for safeguarding all employer obligations in line with the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and the organisation's internal absence policy. Your work is primarily based in Eindhoven, with a significant portion also taking place in Venlo.
Key Responsibilities Acting as the central point of contact for all absence-related matters between management, HR, employees and external parties. Advising management on reintegration trajectories in accordance with the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter. Supporting, directing and monitoring management in the execution of reintegration processes.Ensuring compliance with all employer obligations under Dutch reintegration legislation and internal absence policies. Handling administrative tasks such as registering sick leave notifications, maintaining absence records and reporting to management. Contributing to the development and implementation of vitality and health policies.Researching and leveraging available subsidies and statutory allowances to promote employee health and wellbeing. Working towards the reduction and management of absenteeism and WIA inflow.
Requirements HBO working and thinking level (Bachelor's equivalent). Up-to-date knowledge of the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter. Minimum of five years' experience in guiding employees with occupational disabilities and/or case management. Strong communication skills, effective across all levels of the organisation.A natural ability to connect people and organisations. Independent, proactive and hands-on working attitude. Ability to raise difficult topics constructively and bring others on board. A working style that builds trust and fosters strong relationships. Strong analytical skills and the ability to form clear judgements quickly.
