Software Architect | BauWatch, Enschede

BauWatch is a European leader in temporary security solutions. The role focuses on the architecture and development of our customer applications.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, future‑proof and secure solutions for customer applications.

Architect and implement the MyBauWatch application using Java (Spring Boot) and React.

Make technical decisions, set standards and best practices.

Collaborate with developers and product owners in small, self‑organised teams.

Perform code reviews with constructive feedback.

Ensure quality, performance and security of the systems.

Serve as backup for other applications.

Qualifications

Experience as Software Architect and/or Senior Full‑stack Developer.

Strong knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) and React.

Experience designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.

Knowledge of API design, event‑driven development, design patterns and integrations.

Comfortable with Git and CI/CD.

Good communication in English (Dutch a plus).

Experience or interest in Kubernetes, Golang or IT security (nice to have).

Affinity with video or IoT systems.

Open source contributions or personal projects you are proud of.

Benefits

One‑year contract with intention to convert to permanent.

Salary€4,000–€6,200 per month depending on experience.

25 vacation days plus 7 additional days off.
