Regional Transportation Manager, Logistics / Operations– Baden-Württemberg – Amazon Amazon is searching for a Sr. 3rd Party Logistics / Operations Manager, Sr. Key Account Manager Carrier Operations, Sr. Transportation Manager or other potentially suitable profiles as Regional On The Road (OTR) Manager (internal title: OTR Manager). The Regional OTR Manager serves as the primary link between Amazon Logistics operations and Delivery Service Providers (DSPs), creating a collaborative "win-win" culture at the station level.

As the Regional OTR Manager, you will define the medium‑term OTR strategy and lead both internal and external stakeholders to align Amazon Logistics processes with DSP goals. You will own OTR capacity planning, ramp plans, and early risk identification, working with the Middle Europe capacity team and Business Coaches to help DSPs achieve their capacity targets. Your responsibilities include coordinating performance improvements, implementing best practices that prioritize the DSP experience, and acting as a trusted OTR subject‑matter expert in weekly business reviews.

We expect you to partner with regional Business Coaches to support DSP growth, proactively identify issues, remove obstacles, and help DSPs reach their full potential. This role must be flexible and normally requires regular travel between multiple sites weekly.

Key Job Responsibilities

Safety: Work with OTR safety and site operations to deliver regional safety metrics and coordinate OTR safety projects.

Performance: Lead OTR performance improvement across the region, provide weekly visibility to the Regional Leadership Team, and deliver Regional Weekly Business Reviews.

Performance Improvement: Lead activities in key priority areas, including quality and performance metrics.

Experience Management: Create sustainable business practices that foster a "win‑win" culture between Operations and DSPs.

DSP Advocacy: Serve as the voice of Delivery Service Providers within the operational region.

Cost Optimization: Work with site operations, Amazon Customer Excellence System, and Central Operations to ensure routing efficiency and best practices are followed to improve Cost Per Package.

Capacity Management: Own and execute regional resourcing plans while managing ramp up/down plans and regional network changes.

Program Coordination: Coordinate OTR Amazon Customer Excellence System projects across the region.

Leadership: Provide dotted‑line leadership to the regional Area Manager Delivery Operations and Shift Manager Delivery Operations community while partnering with the Senior Regional Manager as a key stakeholder.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement

Excellent communication skills in English and German, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in logistics, transportation, or delivery operations

Experience in managing projects and/or programs

Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for a variety of operational problems
