What do you do as a Customer Service Specialist? As a customer service specialist, you ensure that each customer is well served and therefore happy and satisfied after their contact with you. Nowadays, we send a lot of parcels to Germany, which is why we are expanding our customer service with a team of colleagues who have a good command of the German language. We also want to offer our customers in Germany the best service– do you have a good command of German? Then we might be looking for you.

At Belsimpel, customer friendliness comes first, so we do not work with sales targets or bonuses. You provide each customer with personal, independent advice. Does the customer want a phone that can only be used to make and receive calls? Then you wouldn't recommend the most expensive device, would you? We believe that honesty brings customers back to us. During the training you will learn all about our working methods and the latest phones and gadgets. You don’t need to be an expert yet; we just want you eager to learn and curious.

As part of Team Customer Service, you know how to ask the right questions to find out which device suits the customer or where they might need extra help. If a customer has a question about the guarantee procedure, you know the answer instantly and ensure they understand it. Initially, this will mainly be by email, but if a customer has ordering problems, you call the customer to help.

You go the extra mile every day to offer our customers the best solution. If something goes wrong accidentally, you make sure the customer is fully satisfied again. You may devise a solution outside the standard method. If you can’t find a solution yourself, your colleagues are always there to think along with you – after all, you are a team.

What does the Customer Service Team look like? Our team works 7 days a week between 9:00 and 23:30, allowing you to combine your hours with studies. The international customer service team has two specialisations: Mobile World and Technical Service. As a Mobile World Specialist you help customers choose the right device or accessory. As a Technical Services specialist you help with technical questions, such as setting up mail or troubleshooting internet issues. In this role you’ll develop communication and problem‑solving skills that benefit your career.

What to expect from us? What you will get in return

A gross hourly wage between€9.84 (age 18) and €15.56 (age 21+), including holiday pay. Thanks to our growth opportunities you can earn more within half a year, depending on your development and dedication.

Working schedule We are open Monday‑Saturday. On weekdays (09:00–21:00) and Saturday (09:00–17:00). You can schedule 4‑ or 8‑hour shifts yourself. Working in the centre of Groningen!

Who are you?

You see the core of a problem or question straight away and you solve everything as efficiently as possible.

You are involved and feel responsible for the customers you speak to.

You are fluent in German and English; you can understand Dutch, but speaking Dutch is not required.

You are studying at least at an hbo/university level.

You will be in Groningen for at least 1 year and are available to join our team (preferably longer!).

You are available (at least) 1 evening per week and 1 weekend day per 2 weeks.

You can work a minimum of 16 hours per week.

You have Dutch healthcare insurance.
