We are looking for a Sr. Fleet Operations Manager who is responsible for the safety, compliance, availability, and customer sentiment of the Fleet in their respective region of Germany, Austria and Netherlands.
Key Job Responsibilities
Ensure vehicles within the region are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations and Amazon Standards by performing audits and collating regional feedback through partnership with Fleet Compliance and Product teams.
The Sr. Fleet Operations Manager will execute existing fleet initiatives and new product launches and will support and engage with delivery partners by building mechanisms to help manage their fleet.
Influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, in order to solve complex operational needs. The role requires the ability to manage escalations and influence stakeholders.
Manage vehicle operational readiness and cosmetic standards across the region, through collecting and analyzing data from different fleet management sources to secure customer experience.
This role will be based in one of our delivery stations or offices, and requires ability to travel 30-40% of time across the assigned region.
Occasional travel across Europe will be required.
About the Team Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles‘last mile’ delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers’ delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.
There are two sides to what we do. Our‘under the roof’ associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.
Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supported by a portfolio of light-commercial vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.
Basic Qualifications
Speak, write, and read fluently in German
Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field
Experience handling multiple competing priorities and complex projects with multiple stakeholders (e.g. definition of accurate network expansion plans, vendor development, quality assurance, design and cost improvement, team and stakeholder engagement)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation or equivalent professional or military experience
