Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a leading international developer for a Campus Planning Lead to take ownership of programme planning across a major hyperscale data centre campus in Groningen.
This is a senior, high-impact position responsible for the end-to-end planning and coordination of multiple large-scale data centre projects within a single campus environment. The successful candidate will act as the central planning authority, ensuring alignment across all projects and driving delivery against a fully integrated master programme.
This role requires deep expertise in construction planning, strong leadership capability, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Key Responsibilities Campus Programme Planning Own and manage the integrated master programme schedule across multiple hyperscale data centre projects Identify and manage cross-project dependencies, shared infrastructure milestones, and critical path activities Establish and maintain planning standards, governance frameworks, and reporting structuresLead programme-level planning forums, schedule reviews, and risk workshops with senior stakeholders
Project Schedule Management Work closely with project planners and construction leads to develop detailed Level 3/4 schedules Monitor programme performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions Produce regular schedule reporting, earned value analysis, and forecasting updates Ensure alignment between individual project schedules and the overall campus delivery plan
Stakeholder&Interface Management Act as the primary planning interface between programme teams, client representatives, and contractors Coordinate planning across civil, structural, MEP, and fit-out workstreams Present programme status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior and executive-level stakeholders
Risk&Change Management Lead schedule risk assessments and maintain the programme risk register Assess and manage the impact of change events on programme timelines Proactively identify risks and opportunities, driving mitigation and optimisation strategies
Requirements Essential Minimum
10 years’ experience
in project planning or programme controls within major construction or infrastructure projects Proven track record delivering
complex, multi-project programmes
in a lead planning capacity Advanced proficiency in
Primavera P6
(essential) Strong understanding of planning methodologies including: Critical Path Method (CPM) Earned Value Management (EVM) Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at both technical and senior stakeholder level Willingness to be based
on-site in Groningen full-time
Preferred Experience in
hyperscale or large-scale data centre projects Background in
mission-critical, industrial, or campus-scale infrastructure programmes Experience working within
multi-contractor, complex delivery environments Professional accreditation (e.g.
APM, PMI-SP, or equivalent )
