A leading company who provide solutions for the Shipping industry, are looking to hire a Network Field Engineer to work both remote and onboard vessels. A Company I know very well, they have great people, high ambitions, and a fantastic culture.

Day-to-day :

Install, configure&support IT&network solutions for vessels worldwide Prepare&configure network equipment from the Groningen office Supporting customers remotely with their onboard IT environments Work with technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco&managed IT platforms Perform onboard installations, maintenance&upgrades (NL and international) Work closely with vessel crews&technical teams during these deployments Troubleshoot&resolve incidents within customer environments Support remote installations and changes in IT infrastructure

Requirements:

Comfortable working both remotely and onboard Experience in IT&network infrastructure environments Knowledge of network architectures (SDWAN, LAN, VLAN, routing, firewalling) Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Peplink, or similar networking tech Knowledge/experience with Microsoft server environments and virtualization (VMware) Experience with satellite connectivity is a plusStrong communication skills in English Willingness to travel internationally and work onboard vessels
