Sales Director Middle East
Location The Sales Director will be based at Pielkenrood’s office in Heerhugowaard and will travel frequently to the Middle East.
Position within the organization The Sales Director Middle East is responsible for the commercial development of Pielkenrood within the Middle East, with a strong focus on large-scale water, oil/water separation, produced water and industrial process projects. The Sales Director Middle East reports directly to theCEO and works closely with the CTO, Principal Engineer, Project Management and international partners. The role does not include hierarchical management responsibilities, but serves as a strategic and commercially leading position within international tender and sales processes.
Purpose of the role To develop, position and realize large-scale international projects within the oil&gas, water treatment and industrial infrastructure markets in the Middle East. The Sales Director Middle East is responsible for identifying commercial opportunities, opening doors at high levels and successfully closing major international deals from first contact to contract signing. We are explicitly not looking for a traditionalaccount manager, but for an entrepreneurial dealmaker with a strong commercial drive. Someone who creates opportunities, builds relationships at executive and government level, negotiates under pressure and is capable of independently securing multi-million-dollar projects. The role combines business development, strategicstakeholder management, technical-commercial insight, international dealmaking and full ownership of the commercial process.
Core activities / responsibilities Business Development&Market Expansion• Identifying and developing new commercial opportunities within the Middle East • Proactively opening doors with national oil companies, EPC contractors, industrial clients, governments and investors • Building a strong international network within the region • Positioning Pielkenroodas a technical and reliablepartner in oil/water separation, produced water treatment and industrial water treatment• Monitoring market developments, investment programs and tender opportunities • Initiating strategic partnerships and joint ventures Dealmaking&Contract Acquisition• Responsible for closing large-scale international projects and contracts • Leading the full commercial process from lead generation to contract signing • Negotiating commercial, technical and contractual terms at executive level • Structuring and managing complex deal processes• Safeguarding commercial margins, risks and strategic positioning • Independently driving revenue growth and order intake • Actively managing international opportunities and pipeline development
Stakeholder Management&International Relations• Building long-term relationships at executive, investor and government level • Representing the organization during international travel, exhibitions, conferences and negotiations • Maintaining relationships with ministries, national oil companies, contractors and private sector stakeholders• Acting as the strategic point of contact within the region • Identifying follow-up projects and expansion opportunities Technical-Commercial Advisory • Translating customer needs into technically and commercially viable solutions • Collaborating with engineering and project management on concept development• Presenting technical solutions and project proposals to clients and stakeholders • Assessing technical feasibility, CAPEX/OPEX considerations and operational impact
Tender&Project Development• Initiating and managing complex international tender processes • Analyzing technical specifications, contract conditions and commercial risks • Coordinating and preparing proposals in collaboration with engineering and project management • Safeguarding quality, planning and commercialstrategy within tenders• Supporting project structuring and commercial negotiations Organizational Development&Strategic Growth• Actively contributing to Pielkenrood’s international growth strategy • Structuring and improving commercial processes within international sales • Building and sharing market knowledge within the organization • Advising management on market developments and strategic opportunities• Contributing to Pielkenrood’s international positioning within the oil&gas and water treatment sectors

Requirements• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, Chemical Engineering or similar • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in international sales, business development or dealmaking • Strong preference for experience within oil&gas, water treatment, produced water or industrial process installations• Proven track record in closing major international deals • Experience with international contract negotiations and complex commercial processes • Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis • Strong combination of commercial insight andtechnical understanding• Entrepreneurial, independent and strategically strong • Excellent command of English; Arabic is considered a plus • Strong international network within the Middle East is a major advantage
