About The Team At the Mechanical&Electrical Engineering division, consisting of 170 experts, we develop and design cutting‑edge hardware systems for multiple applications, such as search radars, fire control radars, and combat management equipment for our customers in both Naval and Ground‑based domains. Location: Hengelo, Netherlands.
About Your Future Job Job title: Manager Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. You will be managing a team of mechanical/electrical engineers who develop the hardware of our high‑tech radar systems. As part of the Mechanical&Electrical Engineering (MEE) Management Team, you’ll collaborate closely with other engineering departments (System Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Test Engineering), Supply Chain Management, and our production unit. Your team will mainly partner closely with Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
Competence and skill management within your team, in collaboration with the Thales Naval Academy, to ensure the highest level of competitiveness.
Proactively managing the allocation of resources to successfully staff development projects.
Leading the deployment and improvement of processes, methods, and tools of your discipline.
Enhancing the visibility of your team within the organization to assure early involvement in developments.
Managing the technical innovation roadmap for your discipline.
Guiding your team through the annual HR cycle.
Why You’d Be a Good Match
You have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
You have strong interpersonal skills to manage and cooperate with stakeholders.
You have proven experience as a people manager in an engineering role.
You have a positive and cooperative mindset, continuously seeking improvements.
You have a clear vision, result‑oriented, and capable of navigating complex situations.
You are a team player committed to achieving common goals.

Fluency in both Dutch and English is required.
