In this role, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all production activities within the salt production and utilities plant. The role ensures that salt is produced safely, efficiently, cost effectively, and in compliance with quality, food/feed, environmental, and safety standards, while meeting production targets and customer requirements.
Your Responsibilities
Production Management: Plan, organize, and oversee daily and long-term salt production to meet volume targets, quality specifications, and delivery schedules.
People Management: Lead, coach, and develop production teams, ensuring proper staffing, shift planning, competency levels, and a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality, Food Safety&HSE: Ensure full compliance with quality, food safety, health, safety, and environmental standards (e.g. GMP, ISO), including risk assessments, deviation investigations, and corrective actions.
Maintenance&Asset Management: Collaborate closely with maintenance to ensure high plant availability and reliability, supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Cost, Performance&Reporting: Monitor production KPIs, control production costs, drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, OEE, Six Sigma), and provide transparent reporting and cross-functional coordination.
The Production Manager will report to the Operations Manager.

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Production, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in salt, minerals, food, or bulk commodities.
Proven leadership experience in a production or operations management role.
Strong knowledge of production processes, continuous improvement, and HSE standards.
Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
