Overview

Location: Hengelo, Netherlands Teamleader Accounting (32 - 40 hours per week, Hengelo) The finance department of Thales Nederland consists of 50 team members organized in 2 different competence centers (clusters): Shared Services Accounting, Reporting&Controlling; Bid&Project, Industrial and Procurement Control Shared Services Accounting, Reporting&Controlling is responsible for accounting, reporting and controlling of departments and entities of Thales Nederland. The cluster is also responsible for internal control and subsidy control. For the Shared Services Accounting, Reporting&Controlling team, we are looking for a:

Responsibilities

Responsible for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and project administration processes within the cluster.

Responsible for compliance of the general ledger with IFRS, Dutch GAAP and US DFAR regulations.

Responsible for coordinating the balance sheet specifications.

Responsible for (internal) improvements and change projects of accounting processes.

Compliance: Ensure compliance and implementation of internal control processes within the organization, aligned with international and local standards.

Tax domestic and international: In-depth knowledge of domestic and international tax regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax processes.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable processes in alignment with the company's financial operations.

Team management: Proven experience in managing and developing a team, with strong leadership and resource management skills.

ERP project and its ecosystem: Experience in managing and optimizing ERP systems, particularly for financial processes such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report.

Key user AP process.

Participate in internal and external audits.

Sparring partner for Finance MT members.

Qualifications

Pro-active&hands-on candidate with passion for Finance who likes to work in an international environment.

Master degree in Finance.

At least 10 years of work experience (of which 5 years in Audit with a portfolio of industrial companies).

Good English and Dutch communication skills.

Experience in managing people and developing them (preferably managing an Accounting team in a medium or large sized company).

Knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP.

Experience and feel for accounting processes (well-developed skill).

Curious by nature and able to question current processes.

Ability to tackle subjects on your own but also a team player who likes to participate in and initiate improvement projects.

Good communication skills are critical to success in this role.

Good knowledge of MS Office and affinity with IT/ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
