Radar Evaluator– ALTEN Nederland – Hengelo
As an
IVVQ Radar Evaluator , you operate our radar systems exactly as end users would, but in a controlled, high‑stakes test environment. You analyse real‑world data, verify system behaviour, and determine whether our solutions meet both technical specifications and customer expectations. Your work is essential to ensuring the acceptance of defence technology that protects lives.
Your missions: Data Analysis&Reporting:
Analyse radar trial data and assess system performance and deliver clear, well‑structured evaluation reports for technical and non‑technical audiences. Troubleshooting&Root-Cause Analysis:
Identify, classify, and localise faults in complex radar systems and propose effective, technically sound solutions. Test Planning&Execution:
Plan and execute tests with real air, weapon, and surface targets. Develop FAT/SAT plans and translate customer requirements into executable test procedures. Perform and automate system‑level and subsystem‑level tests. Tooling&Automation:
Develop and maintain MATLAB tooling and analysis scripts. Customer Interface:
Align test plans with customers and incorporate their feedback and act as the technical point of contact during acceptance activities. (Travel internationally for on‑site testing at times)
You’ll join a team of seven Radar Evaluators and collaborate daily with system, software, and test engineers. Experienced colleagues will support your growth as you develop deep expertise in radar evaluation.
Your profile Master’s degree in EE, Physics, Mathematics, CS, Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Strong programming skills, especially in
MATLAB. Clear communicator in
Dutch
and English. Willing to travel regularly. Experience with radar systems or a background as a (technical) naval officer is a strong advantage.
